Why our prices are lower than what the community quotes
When a community gives free rent, we spread it over the whole lease and show what you pay a month on average. The community quotes the full rent, and many take the free rent off your first months. You pay the same total either way. Our way lets you compare one deal with another. Fees and the deposit are extra.

Areas we cover inside Red Oak
I-35E CorridorI-35E runs through Red Oak, and most of the city's apartments and newer shopping cluster by the exits.
It's the way north to Dallas, and apartments facing the interstate hear it.
Ovilla RoadOvilla Road (FM 664) runs west from I-35E toward Ovilla, with subdivisions and shopping along it.
Rentals are mostly houses, and the road gets busy at commute hours.
Red Oak Creek VicinityRed Oak Creek runs south through the city, with greenbelt along parts of its banks.
Homes near the creek sit in older and newer subdivisions, and some lots back up to the floodplain.
South Red OakSouth of FM 664 the city runs toward Waxahachie with newer subdivisions and open land.
Most rentals are houses, and I-35E is the main road in either direction.

Rentals are houses, often on bigger lots, and the interstate is a short drive back west.

Red Oak Apartments and Streets of Rental Houses Off I-35E
- The 8am drive up I-35E from your door, which runs slower than the miles suggest

- Houses in communities built to rent when you need three bedrooms or a garage
- Older housing where a landlord, not a policy, reviews a messy credit history
I-35E Commute and Getting Around Red Oak
I-35E is the way in and out, a free freeway straight north into Dallas about 20 miles away. A wreck on it leaves few good detours, so test the trip at your real commute hour before you sign. Westbound, FM 664 carries neighborhood traffic toward Ovilla.
There's no DART or other rail here, so a car handles every commute and errand. Waxahachie's courthouse square is about 15 minutes south, and Cedar Hill State Park is a short drive northwest.
Red Oak Creek runs through the city with green space along parts of it, and some lots back up to its floodplain. A renters policy covers your belongings. Flood damage? That takes its own policy.
What You Can Rent in Red Oak: Apartments and Houses
Renters choose Red Oak to trade a longer drive for more room at lower rent than Dallas. Along I-35E, the newer apartments screen by the book with a posted income rule. The newer subdivisions hold whole streets of houses built to rent, the best fit for three bedrooms or a garage.
A middle tier of garden complexes offers a range of floor plans at lower prices. In the town's older housing, it's a person, not a policy, who makes the call on your application. That gives a messy credit or rental history the most room, usually for a larger deposit.
Red Oak ISD serves most addresses, but a few at the edges fall in another district. We check with the district for the exact street.
