Accessibility Statement

What we build to, what still falls short, and how to tell us when something blocks you.

Last updated: November 1, 2026

Our commitment

We build apartmentlocatordallas.com to be easy to use for everyone, including people who use screen readers, a keyboard, screen zoom or voice control. We treat accessibility as part of the build, not something we add later.

Standard we build to

We build to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. In practice that means:

  • Page code that marks each heading and section, so screen readers can jump between them
  • One main heading per page, with headings in order and no skipped levels
  • A "skip to main content" link as the first thing the Tab key reaches on every page
  • A visible outline on every link, button and form field when you tab to it
  • Full keyboard access, including the menus, FAQ accordions, and image lightbox
  • Contrast of at least 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for large text
  • Text descriptions on images that carry information, and none on images that are only decoration
  • A label on every form field, not just gray hint text inside the box
  • Buttons and links at least 44 by 44 pixels on phones, which goes one step past AA
  • Text that fits the screen without sideways scrolling, even on screens 320 pixels wide

Known limitations

Our maps come from an outside map service, and we can't control how accessible they are inside the map. Every map on this site is optional. The same area, neighborhood boundary and commute details are written out in text. If a map is the only way you can get the information you need, contact us and we'll work out another way to get it to you.

Alternatives

Anything on this site is available by phone or email. If a page, form, or document is hard for you to use, call (945) 800-3851 and we'll walk through it with you. We'll take your details over the phone and send your property list in a format that works for you.

Property accessibility features

Tell us what a unit needs to have, like step-free entry, elevator access, a roll-in shower, accessible parking, or visual alarms. We'll tell you which properties have told us they have it. Features can differ from unit to unit, so ask the leasing office about yours before you tour. Under the Fair Housing Act, you ask the property owner for a reasonable accommodation or modification. See our Fair Housing Statement.

Report a barrier

If something on this site blocks you, tell us what page you were on and what happened. We treat accessibility reports as bugs and fix them.
