Trophy Club Apartment Locator Help in Golf Course Neighborhoods

  • HOA minimum lease terms, pet limits and parking rules, asked about before you drive out
  • A read on how each owner screens, since the golf communities have no big management company
  • Roanoke or Flower Mound suggested quickly when your timeline needs more choices

SH-114, the Westlake campuses and Oncor power

SH-114 is the main road, east to Southlake, Grapevine and DFW Airport about 15 miles off. It runs past the Westlake office campuses where Charles Schwab and Fidelity Investments sit. For Fort Worth, head through Roanoke to I-35W rather than cutting across neighborhoods. No rail reaches the town, and SH-114 slows at rush hour.

Oncor delivers electricity here, so you can shop plans on Power to Choose, unlike the co-op areas elsewhere in Denton County. The town's own streets carry little through traffic.

Houses in the golf communities, and their HOA rules

Don't expect many regular apartment complexes. Most rentals are houses and townhomes inside golf communities, leased by individual owners. Each owner decides applications their own way, with no set process for saying yes with conditions.

In those HOAs the rules outrank the lease: parking, pets with breed, weight or count limits, sometimes guests, and minimum lease terms the owner can't change. Read them before you sign.

When Trophy Club has nothing that fits, Roanoke next door has apartment communities with clear approval rules, and Flower Mound has more still.

Trophy Club, lake and fairways

Trophy Club is a small planned town of houses around a golf course on SH-114. Grapevine Lake sits on its south edge, and parks and trails are a big part of daily life.

SH-114 and the airport

SH-114 runs past Trophy Club and heads east to DFW Airport and Southlake. Our 8am times put DFW Airport about 28 minutes away, Legacy West and the Medical District 41 each, and Downtown Dallas 46. No trains serve the town, so most trips start in the car.

Lake trails and a dog park

Trophy Club Park sits on Corps of Engineers land on Grapevine Lake, and the town runs it. It has more than 7 miles of natural trails and charges an entry fee. Freedom Dog Park and Harmony Park are close to the middle of town. Bob Jones Park, just over the line in Southlake, adds more trails along the lake.

The Original Roy Hutchins Barbeque, a mile or so from the middle of town, is the barbecue stop. Anamia's Tex Mex is the busy Mexican spot close in. Both sit within about 2 miles, so dinner out never means a long drive.

What we tell renters about Trophy Club

The closest big grocery is a Tom Thumb, so plan bigger runs in Roanoke or Southlake. Trophy Club Park charges an entry fee, so check it before a lake day. With DFW Airport under half an hour away at 8am, it's an easy base if you fly often.

Trophy Club questions

Does Trophy Club have apartment complexes?

A few. The golf communities supply most rentals, leased house by house. Roanoke, next door, has more complexes and a standard approval process.

What do HOA rules restrict in the golf communities here?

Parking, pets (breed, weight or number), minimum lease lengths and sometimes guests. Those rules hold no matter what the owner promises, so read them first.

Who supplies electricity in Trophy Club?

Oncor delivers it, so you can compare plans. That's not the case on co-op addresses elsewhere in Denton County.

How far is Trophy Club from DFW Airport?

About 15 miles east on SH-114, a stretch that slows at rush hour. Time it at the hours you'd usually fly out.

Which school district is Trophy Club in?

Northwest ISD serves most addresses. We check the exact address on its boundary map instead of going by ZIP code or town limits.

Will a Trophy Club owner look past a credit problem?

Some will. Each owner decides alone, and income matters most. For written rules and approvals with conditions, Roanoke's apartment communities are the better bet.

Where's the backup when Trophy Club is full?

Roanoke, right next door, with managed apartment communities and set rules. After that, Flower Mound has a bigger mix of complexes and homes leased by owners. A typical Roanoke one bedroom runs about $1,550, a handy check on any Trophy Club house rent.

Is there an apartment locator near Trophy Club?

Yes. Since most Trophy Club rentals are golf community homes leased by their owners, we keep up with which owners have something open and ask for each HOA's lease minimum and pet rules. When you need more choice, we add Roanoke apartments.

Looking in Trophy Club?

Send your move date, pets and how long a lease you want, and we'll look for Trophy Club homes whose HOA rules allow it.
