Colleyville Apartment Locator: Big Lots, Executive Leases and DFW Next Door
Free help from your Colleyville apartment locator: we checked 14 places this week, from $825 a month after free rent. Colleyville is mostly homes on big wooded lots, with Grapevine to the east and Southlake to the north, and it has very few apartment buildings of its own. What rents is mostly houses and townhomes leased by their owners, so you live under both the owner's rules and the HOA's. DFW Airport sits just east, so plane noise varies by street.

Why our prices are lower than what the community quotes
When a community gives free rent, we spread it over the whole lease and show what you pay a month on average. The community quotes the full rent, and many take the free rent off your first months. You pay the same total either way. Our way lets you compare one deal with another. Fees and the deposit are extra.

Areas we cover inside Colleyville
Colleyville Town CenterTown Center Colleyville is a shopping center with a grocery store, along Colleyville Boulevard (SH-26), close to the Glade Road intersection.
Homes nearby are houses on large lots, and renting in Colleyville usually means a house, not an apartment.
SH-26 CorridorSH-26, signed as Colleyville Boulevard, is the city's main road.
It runs northeast to Grapevine and southwest toward North Richland Hills and Hurst. Most of Colleyville's shopping, dining and offices sit along it, and DFW Airport is about 20 minutes east.
Precinct Line Road CorridorPrecinct Line Road runs along Colleyville's western side, where it meets North Richland Hills and Hurst.
It's a busy route north and south, with houses backing up to it and more shops as you head south toward SH-183.
Glade RoadGlade Road cuts east and west across south Colleyville to Euless.
Where it meets Colleyville Boulevard you'll find a cluster of grocery stores and shops. Larger homes on wooded lots line most of it, and SH-121 is a short drive east toward the airport.
North ColleyvilleNorth Colleyville runs up toward the Grapevine line, with bigger lots, newer custom homes and a few horse properties still around.
Grapevine's Main Street and Grapevine Lake are a short drive north up SH-26.
South ColleyvilleThe south end of town borders Hurst, Bedford and Euless, so SH-121, SH-183 and the drive toward Fort Worth or Dallas are close.
Housing is mostly 1980s and 1990s subdivisions, and a lease here nearly always means a rental house.

Colleyville Apartments Are Scarce, So Leased Homes Do the Work
- Grapevine, Hurst, Euless and Bedford added early when Colleyville's few apartments don't fit
- HOA documents to read and compare with what the owner says, before you compare houses
- Grapevine-Colleyville, Keller and the smaller district slices: look up the exact street
SH-26, Precinct Line Road and the airport next door
SH-26, Colleyville Boulevard, runs diagonally across town, northeast to Grapevine and the airport and southwest to Hurst and North Richland Hills. Precinct Line Road follows the west edge, south toward Hurst. The closest TEXRail stations are Grapevine Main Station to the east and North Richland Hills/Smithfield to the west. They help for trips to Fort Worth or the airport, but day to day, everything takes a car.
DFW Airport is a few minutes east by SH-26 to SH-121 or SH-114. That's handy if you fly often, but the noise depends on the address and the runways in use, so listen on a weekend and on a weekday. Colleyville Nature Center's 46 acres of trails and ponds are inside the city.
Mostly houses, and where the apartments are
Zoning for big lots leaves very little room for apartments. The few apartment buildings in town use the usual income rules, and they fill quickly. Ask about any special you'd have to pay back if you leave early.
Owners lease most of the houses and townhomes, and the HOA, not the owner, controls pets, parking, exterior upkeep and minimum lease terms. If the owner's word conflicts with the HOA documents, the documents win.
For a real apartment search, look at Grapevine's buildings along SH-114, SH-121 and William D. Tate Avenue. Hurst, Euless and Bedford have plenty of lower priced complexes too, with a wider range of screening rules.

What we tell renters looking in Colleyville
If you fly a lot, a home on the east side of town trims the 22 minute trip to the airport even more. During GrapeFest in September, Main Street parking fills, so ride TEXRail in or go early. Most parks and grocery stores sit within two miles of Colleyville Boulevard, so a home near it keeps your errands short.
Colleyville questions
How many apartments does Colleyville really have?
Very few. Most apartment hunters here end up in Grapevine, Hurst, Euless or Bedford, and we'll put those on the list from the start.
Is my Colleyville address in Grapevine-Colleyville ISD?
Most of the city is. The northwest part is Keller ISD. Check the exact street before you sign.
Does DFW noise reach Colleyville?
On some streets, depending on which runways are in use. Hear the address at a busy weekend hour and on a quiet weekday before you sign.
Whose rules apply in a Colleyville rental house?
The HOA's, on pets, parking, upkeep and minimum lease length, whatever the owner says. Get those rules and every extra page of the lease in writing first.
Where are the nearest real apartments to Colleyville?
Grapevine, just east, with buildings along SH-114, SH-121 and William D. Tate Avenue, and Hurst, Euless and Bedford to the south at lower rents. The complexes we track around Colleyville have one bedrooms near $1,186 right now.
Will Colleyville landlords work with credit problems?
The few apartment buildings have set rules and may approve with conditions; a guarantor company or a larger deposit helps when income is solid. Owners decide one at a time, and there's no way to predict it.
Is there an apartment locator near Colleyville?
Yes. Colleyville searches tend to start with an executive house or one of the few apartment buildings in town. We send what fits, then bring in Grapevine, Hurst, Euless and Bedford for apartment choices. For a house, read the HOA documents and hear the flight path before you sign.
Can I bring a dog to a Colleyville rental?
Often, but the HOA decides breeds and sizes for houses and townhomes, and each apartment building has its own policy. Get the pet rules in writing.

Grapevine sits just east on SH-26, Southlake borders the north side, and Trophy Club is a short drive up SH-114.
