Hawn Freeway, runs through Seagoville between Dallas and Kaufman, and City Hall sits on its frontage road. Most of the town's few complexes and its shopping sit near it. - **Central Park**: Seagoville's largest park, Bruce Central Park, has baseball and football fields, a basketball court and tennis courts. With light traffic it's a short trip. At 8am it runs about 36 minutes, and the Medical District is closer to 50. Seagoville isn't a DART member, so a car does all of it. Groceries, banking and most errands happen along the US-175 frontage road in town or to the north in Balch Springs and Mesquite. The city is mostly in Dallas County. Its east and south edges reach into Kaufman County, and the owner's tax bill differs on each side of that line. ## What You Can Rent, Screening, and Utilities Complexes are rare in a city this small. Individual owners lease out most of the rentals, houses and duplexes alike. They look at an application themselves instead of running it through a scoring system. So a rough credit history that closes doors in bigger markets can still get a fair look here, as long as your income holds up. Some homes outside the city core still run on septic or a well. We ask whether a home has city water and sewer (it changes monthly costs and who handles repairs). Life is local and low key, with one big park, one big store and a hometown festival every October. ### Seagoville drive times Downtown Dallas takes about 26 minutes in light traffic and 36 at 8am, by our drive times. At 8am the Medical District is about 50 minutes out; the airport and Legacy West each run close to an hour. US-175 carries most trips, and its frontage road is where the city's shopping lines up. - **US-175 Seagoville** (highway): The freeway for work in Dallas and for the big store on the frontage road; the morning rush adds about 10 minutes. ### Groceries and errands The Walmart Supercenter on the US-175 frontage road is the city's big store, with a deli and grocery pickup. For more choices, Balch Springs and Mesquite are a short drive up the freeway. - **Walmart Supercenter Seagoville** (grocery): The weekly grocery stop on the frontage road; order pickup ahead on busy weekends to skip the lines. ### SeagoFest every October SeagoFest comes every October with a parade through Old Downtown, and then C.O.
