It sits beside Toyota's North American headquarters and the Liberty Mutual and JPMorgan Chase campuses. Midsize apartment buildings stand over shops and restaurants, and SH-121 meets the Tollway just north. - **Shops at Legacy**: The Shops at Legacy sit just east of the Tollway along Legacy Drive and Bishop Road. Storefronts, restaurants and a hotel share the blocks with midsize apartment buildings. Legacy West is across the Tollway. - **Granite Park**: Granite Park is the office development at SH-121 and the Dallas North Tollway, on the line between Plano and Frisco. Its towers and restaurants sit around a lake. Apartments nearby are between two toll roads, so most commutes include a toll. - **Windhaven Meadows Park**: Windhaven Meadows Park covers about 120 acres on Windhaven Parkway in west Plano. It has trails, ponds, a dog park of 4.6 acres and a playground built for all abilities. The Legacy Trail connects to it from nearby apartments. - **Parker Road Corridor**: West Parker Road runs through established neighborhoods between Coit Road and the Tollway, with Arbor Hills Nature Preserve near the Tollway end. Apartments are mostly 1990s garden complexes at the major intersections. - **Coit Road Area**: Coit Road runs north and south through west Plano into Frisco, a few miles east of the Tollway. Shopping centers sit at Park, Parker and Spring Creek. Garden complexes from the 1990s and 2000s line it, a short drive from the Legacy offices. ## Legacy West Apartment Locator Help Near the Corporate Campuses - We ask each building for its furnished rate in writing, since few of them post the extra cost - We ask about relocation programs up front: flexible start dates, terms that match a company package, softer early exit rules - We sort buildings by the walk to your campus, so the toll bill only covers the trips you choose ## Tolls, the train gap and the walk to work Two toll roads border the district. The Dallas North Tollway runs south to Addison and Dallas and north into Frisco. SH-121, the Sam Rayburn Tollway, heads west toward Lewisville and DFW Airport or northeast toward McKinney. A daily run on both adds up fast. Price it on [NTTA's toll calculator](https://www.ntta.org/toll-calculator) before you compare against a building on US-75. There's no DART rail station in the corridor. The closest stops are miles east, too far to walk. Inside the district it's the reverse: offices, Legacy Hall and the Legacy West shops are a walk from most buildings. The Tollway backs up at both rush hours. ## Furnished homes, relocation terms and cheaper streets nearby Nearly every building is new construction, mostly midrises over garages, with pools, gyms and coworking space. Townhomes and brownstones inside the district mean no one living above or below you. Corporate moves keep furnished units in steady supply, and some buildings hold a few furnished homes next to the standard ones. The furnished rent runs well above the plain one. Leasing offices quote it only when asked, so we ask for it in writing. Relocation programs are the other thing building websites skip: start dates that move with your offer letter, lease lengths matched to a company package, and different early exit terms. When the corridor is over budget, the older garden communities on Parker and Coit, on the West Plano page, are the first place to look. ## What living by Legacy West is like Around Legacy West, dinner, shopping and big office campuses sit within a few blocks. Most commutes include a toll, and Downtown Dallas is about 38 minutes south at rush hour. ### Tollways in every direction The Dallas North Tollway and the Sam Rayburn Tollway (SH-121) meet at the north edge, so nearly every drive includes a toll. Our drive times put DFW Airport about 31 minutes away at 8am, the Medical District about 36 and Downtown Dallas about 38. With clear roads, Downtown drops to 32. Inside Legacy West and the Shops at Legacy, you can park once and walk between dinner, stores and the office towers. - **Sam Rayburn Tollway** (tollway): Your fast route west toward DFW Airport; get a TollTag, since you'll use it more than you think. ### A park and a lake walk Bishop Park, about half a mile from Legacy West, is the closest patch of green for a short walk or tossing a frisbee. The Boardwalk at Granite Park, about a mile north, puts a walking path and restaurant patios around a lake. For longer trail runs, Windhaven Meadows Park and Arbor Hills Nature Preserve are short drives west and south. - **Bishop Park** (park): Step out for a lunch break walk or toss a ball in the evening, a few minutes from the Legacy West blocks. ### A food hall and a long dinner row Legacy Hall, on Windrose Avenue in Legacy West, is a food hall with about 20 stalls. Its outdoor stage, the Box Garden, has live music and games on a big screen. Legacy West's streets add dinner spots like Bulla Gastrobar for Spanish tapas, Mexican Sugar, North Italia and Haywire. The Boardwalk at Granite Park puts lakeside patios about a mile north. - **Legacy Hall** (food hall): Bring a group that can't agree on dinner; everyone picks a stall, then you meet at the Box Garden stage. - **Bulla Gastrobar** (Spanish tapas): Share a table of tapas on a weekend night, a short walk from most homes at Legacy West. - **Haywire** (Texas kitchen): Take visitors here for Texas food and a big patio night in the middle of Legacy West. - **The Boardwalk at Granite Park** (lakeside dining): Grab a patio table on the water at sunset, then walk the path around the lake. ### Shops on both sides of the Tollway Legacy West, on the west side of the Tollway, has big name stores and boutiques along walkable blocks. The Shops at Legacy, to the east along Legacy Drive and Bishop Road, mixes shops and restaurants with offices and a hotel. Headquarters Village, about a mile and a half out, covers the quicker errands, so you don't have to fight the Legacy West garages. - **Legacy West** (shopping district): Walk the blocks on a weekday evening for shopping and dinner, before the weekend crowds arrive. - **The Shops at Legacy** (shopping district): Cross the Tollway for a calmer mix of shops and dinner, with Legacy Hall a short drive west. ### Baseball, skydiving and live shows The Frisco RoughRiders, a Double-A team, play at Riders Field, about a mile and a half north by the Tollway. Their home season runs from April into early September. iFLY's indoor skydiving tunnel is about the same distance away, and the Box Garden at Legacy Hall books outdoor concerts. - **Riders Field** (ballpark): Catch a RoughRiders game on a summer night; the season runs from April to early September. - **iFLY Indoor Skydiving** (indoor skydiving): Book a flight for a birthday or a rainy weekend; it's a few minutes from home. ### What we tell renters near Legacy West Count tolls in your budget: from most homes here, the quick way anywhere is a tollway. Preston Road and Coit Road are the free routes south when you'd rather skip the tolls.
